Farmer protest in Delhi chalo Andolan live updates

Introduction

In the middle of the ongoing farmer protest Union agriculture minister Arjun Munda addressed that Minimum Support Price (MSP) on crops cannot be brought in hesitation without seeking advice from all the stakeholders. In the heat of the argument with the protesting farmer's group, they have arranged a meeting with the government on this issue. Also, our Union agriculture minister Arjun Munda advised about some elements that could defame the farmers' protest for political benefit.

Farmers protest updates

  • Also, a Ministerial delegation was made by the Government for two rounds of discussion with farmer groups, including Samyuka Kisan Morcha, and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha in Chandigarh. The government is trying to solve this trouble by making a discussion with the farmers.




  • After an inconclusive discussion between farmer groups and the Government, Farmers have decided to start the 'Delhi Chalo' march. 
  • Meantime, there has been a scene at Shambhu borders where police attempted to stop the protestor from entering the national capital. In order to break through the multi-layer barricade, a group of farmers were using their tractors and some hand weapons.
  • During the farmers protest, Haryana police locked up several farmers as they were marching towards Delhi on Tuesday.


  • It has been observed at the border that farmers were running towards the farmland on the sides of the road. To stop them police used tear gas, and water cannons against the protestor.
  • During the road block, there was a clash between farmers of the Punjab and Haryana police at two border points on Tuesday. While breaking the past barricade which was blocking the protest march, a group of farmers were facing the tear gas, and water cannons.
  • Police launch tear gas shells at the protestor including stone pelting protestors. And it is done with the help of a drone, which assists in throwing the tear gas shells. And confrontation took several hours at the Shambhu border which is near the Ambala.
  • There has been firing of tear gas, and water cannons on the protestors at the border near the Jind district.
  •  An appeal has been made by the members of the Confederation of Bahadurgarh Industries (COBI) to farmers not to hold the protest in their industry hub.
  • During the peaceful scenario, members of COBI were appealing to the protestors not to assemble in the Bahadurgarh area. Because it will ensure less impact on the business area.
  • Visuals have been seen in several industries where employees are gathering at protest sites. Also, employees were holding protest banners in order to support the farmers.
  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the country has suffered for almost 2 years addressed by ANI. Since 378 days have passed farmer's protests are still going on.
  • During this period, businesses are suffering just like Bahadurgarh the hub of the industries where lakhs of employees work here because of a protest internet services were suspended for two days and there have been electricity issues as well.
  • Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee general secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher stated that this was the darkest day in Indian history as tear gas was used against the protesting farmers. They also stated that a speaker will be installed, and the programme will be resumed tomorrow morning.
  • From day one Modi Government is in favour of farmers, and they have brought many schemes for the farmers' benefit. The reason behind the failure of the discussion is the addition of a new demand every day addressed by Minister Anurag Thakur.
